How to Export Scans from the GE HealthCare Vscan Air

Uploaded by: Marcus Wong · Last updated: June 8, 2026

The GE HealthCare Vscan Air is driven from the Vscan Air app. The Vscan Air is an acquisition device, not long-term storage (it holds <500 exams), so export your scans promptly. You begin on the live imaging screen — the screen you actually scan on.

1. Open the images for the current patient

  1. From the live imaging screen, either swipe from right to left, or tap the Exam icon at the top-right. Both open the list of images and videos stored for the current exam.

2. Select and share individual images or clips

  1. Tap the image or video you want (or use Select All).
  2. Tap the Share icon.
  3. Pick a destination from your phone’s share menu — another app, or save to Files/Photos. Generic exports are JPG / MP4 and can be sent with or without patient info.

3. Share a whole exam (or past exams)

  1. Open the Exams tab on the right panel to see saved exams.
  2. Select the exam(s), tap Select then Select All (or pick individual files), and tap the Share icon.
  3. Choose the destination from your phone’s share menu.

Other options: DICOM export to a PACS, or MyImageCloud (de-identified images can be shared from MyImageCloud as a link). For ScanHub, export de-identified JPG/MP4.

Bring it into ScanHub

Once your clips and stills are saved to your phone or computer and de-identified, add them to ScanHub one of two ways:

  • ScanHub mobile app: open the app, go to My Scans, tap + Create Scan, choose Gallery / Photos (or ScanVault) as the source, select your exported files, choose the study type, add findings, then submit.
  • ScanHub web portal: go to scanhub.upscan.com, open Scan StudyCreate Scan, drag in your images (JPG/PNG/DICOM) and clips (MP4/DICOM), then complete the interpretation form and submit.

GUSI best practices

  • Keep each clip 3–6 seconds for smoother playback and faster mentor review.
  • Always export de-identified files (no patient name or details) before uploading.
  • Upload a mix of stills and clips, and include the standard views for the scan type.
  • Use Wi-Fi for larger cine loops; very large files may fail on cellular.
