The Vave Health wireless ultrasound is driven from the Vave Health app. You capture on the live imaging screen, then export or share from the saved exam.
1. Capture (on the live imaging screen)
- Freeze and capture stills, or record cine clips (keep clips to about 3–6 s).
- Save images and clips locally on your device, or to Vave Cloud (cloud is optional — never required).
2. Export or share the saved exam
- Open the saved exam in the app and select the images or clips you want.
- Choose how to send them: DICOM export (to PACS/MWL), an anonymized online portfolio, or email.
- Export the files de-identified for teaching and review.
Bring it into ScanHub
Once your clips and stills are saved to your phone or computer and de-identified, add them to ScanHub one of two ways:
- ScanHub mobile app: open the app, go to My Scans, tap + Create Scan, choose Gallery / Photos (or ScanVault) as the source, select your exported files, choose the study type, add findings, then submit.
- ScanHub web portal: go to scanhub.upscan.com, open Scan Study → Create Scan, drag in your images (JPG/PNG/DICOM) and clips (MP4/DICOM), then complete the interpretation form and submit.
GUSI best practices
- Keep each clip 3–6 seconds for smoother playback and faster mentor review.
- Always export de-identified files (no patient name or details) before uploading.
- Upload a mix of stills and clips, and include the standard views for the scan type.
- Use Wi-Fi for larger cine loops; very large files may fail on cellular.

Clarius POCUS scanners are all driven from the Clarius Ultrasound App, and the file export happens in Clarius Cloud — a website you open in a browser, separate from the app. So there are two stages: capture in the app, then export from the Cloud. These steps apply to any Clarius probe.
1. Capture and save (in the Clarius app, on the imaging screen)
- Freeze and capture stills, or record cine loops, while scanning.
- Save the exam. De-identified images and clips can be kept locally on the device and/or synced to Clarius Cloud.
2. Export from Clarius Cloud (in a web browser)
- Sign in to Clarius Cloud and click Exams.
- Open the exam, then click Export Images in the exam menu.
- Choose your Image Resolution and options. To keep files de-identified, leave Include Demographics unchecked. Tick Export in DICOM Format if you need DICOM.
- Accept the terms and click Submit.
- On the Exported Exams page the status reads Pending, then Completed with a Download button for the .zip (you also get an email link).

The GE HealthCare Vscan Air is driven from the Vscan Air app. The Vscan Air is an acquisition device, not long-term storage (it holds <500 exams), so export your scans promptly. You begin on the live imaging screen — the screen you actually scan on.
1. Open the images for the current patient
- From the live imaging screen, either swipe from right to left, or tap the Exam icon at the top-right. Both open the list of images and videos stored for the current exam.
2. Select and share individual images or clips
- Tap the image or video you want (or use Select All).
- Tap the Share icon.
- Pick a destination from your phone’s share menu — another app, or save to Files/Photos. Generic exports are JPG / MP4 and can be sent with or without patient info.
3. Share a whole exam (or past exams)
- Open the Exams tab on the right panel to see saved exams.
- Select the exam(s), tap Select then Select All (or pick individual files), and tap the Share icon.
- Choose the destination from your phone’s share menu.
Other options: DICOM export to a PACS, or MyImageCloud (de-identified images can be shared from MyImageCloud as a link). For ScanHub, export de-identified JPG/MP4.

The Mindray TE Air is a wireless handheld probe driven from the TE Air app on your phone or tablet. You capture on the live imaging screen, then export the saved exam.
1. Capture (on the live imaging screen)
- Freeze the image and save a still, or record a cine loop (keep loops to about 3–6 s).
- Captures are stored with the current exam.
2. Export the saved exam
- Open the saved exam (the patient/review area of the app) and select the images or clips you want.
- Choose export / share, and pick a format: JPG (images) or MP4 (cine loops). DICOM 3.0 (Store / Media) and destinations such as Tricefy cloud or a shared PC folder are also available. Wi-Fi is required to transfer.
- Export the files de-identified.

The Butterfly iQ3 runs the same Butterfly iQ app as every Butterfly probe, so the workflow is identical: capture on the live imaging screen, then share or download from the Archive.
1. Capture images and clips (on the live imaging screen)
- Tap the snowflake icon to freeze, then the camera icon to save a still.
- Tap the video-camera icon to record a clip; tap the red square to stop (stop early to keep clips around 3–6 s).
- Captures collect in the Capture Reel at the bottom of the imaging screen; save them into a study when you finish the patient.
2. Open the study
- Tap the Archive tab (folder icon, bottom-left) to leave the scan screen.
- Open the relevant archive and tap the study you want.
3. Share or download — de-identified
- With the study open, tap the share icon (box with an up-arrow) at the top-right.
- Choose De-identified (no PHI).
- Open an image or clip and tap Download (bottom-right): images as PNG/DICOM, cines as MP4/DICOM — or copy/share a de-identified link.
On iOS, the system Share sheet can send de-identified files straight to the ScanHub by GUSI app.

The Butterfly iQ+ is controlled from the Butterfly iQ mobile app. You start on the live imaging screen (the screen you scan on); captures are saved there, and you share or download them from the Archive.
1. Capture images and clips (on the live imaging screen)
- Tap the snowflake icon to freeze the live image, then the camera icon to save a still.
- To record a clip, tap the video-camera icon; tap the red square to stop. Recording defaults to 60 seconds — stop early (or set a shorter max cine length in settings) to keep clips around 3–6 s.
- Everything you capture appears in the Capture Reel (the filmstrip along the bottom of the imaging screen). When you finish the patient, save the reel into a study.
2. Open the study (leave the scan screen)
- Tap the Archive tab — the folder icon at the bottom-left — to switch from scanning to your saved studies.
- Open the archive that holds the study, then tap the study you want to export.
3. Share or download — de-identified
- With the study open, tap the share icon (a box with an up-arrow) at the top-right.
- Choose De-identified (no PHI).
- To save files to your phone, open an individual image or clip and tap Download at the bottom-right: images save as PNG or DICOM, cines as MP4 or DICOM. (You can also copy/share a de-identified link.)
On iOS, the system Share sheet can send the de-identified files straight to the ScanHub by GUSI app.
