How to Export Scans from Clarius POCUS Devices

Uploaded by: Marcus Wong · Last updated: June 8, 2026

Clarius POCUS scanners are all driven from the Clarius Ultrasound App, and the file export happens in Clarius Cloud — a website you open in a browser, separate from the app. So there are two stages: capture in the app, then export from the Cloud. These steps apply to any Clarius probe.

1. Capture and save (in the Clarius app, on the imaging screen)

  1. Freeze and capture stills, or record cine loops, while scanning.
  2. Save the exam. De-identified images and clips can be kept locally on the device and/or synced to Clarius Cloud.

2. Export from Clarius Cloud (in a web browser)

  1. Sign in to Clarius Cloud and click Exams.
  2. Open the exam, then click Export Images in the exam menu.
  3. Choose your Image Resolution and options. To keep files de-identified, leave Include Demographics unchecked. Tick Export in DICOM Format if you need DICOM.
  4. Accept the terms and click Submit.
  5. On the Exported Exams page the status reads Pending, then Completed with a Download button for the .zip (you also get an email link).

Bring it into ScanHub

Once your clips and stills are saved to your phone or computer and de-identified, add them to ScanHub one of two ways:

  • ScanHub mobile app: open the app, go to My Scans, tap + Create Scan, choose Gallery / Photos (or ScanVault) as the source, select your exported files, choose the study type, add findings, then submit.
  • ScanHub web portal: go to scanhub.upscan.com, open Scan StudyCreate Scan, drag in your images (JPG/PNG/DICOM) and clips (MP4/DICOM), then complete the interpretation form and submit.

GUSI best practices

  • Keep each clip 3–6 seconds for smoother playback and faster mentor review.
  • Always export de-identified files (no patient name or details) before uploading.
  • Upload a mix of stills and clips, and include the standard views for the scan type.
  • Use Wi-Fi for larger cine loops; very large files may fail on cellular.
