The Vave Health wireless ultrasound is driven from the Vave Health app. You capture on the live imaging screen, then export or share from the saved exam.
1. Capture (on the live imaging screen)
- Freeze and capture stills, or record cine clips (keep clips to about 3–6 s).
- Save images and clips locally on your device, or to Vave Cloud (cloud is optional — never required).
2. Export or share the saved exam
- Open the saved exam in the app and select the images or clips you want.
- Choose how to send them: DICOM export (to PACS/MWL), an anonymized online portfolio, or email.
- Export the files de-identified for teaching and review.
Please note: In-app labels and the review area can differ between Vave Health app versions. If a step looks different, open your saved exam and look for the export, share or DICOM option. Whichever path your version uses, the goal is the same: save de-identified files to your device, then upload them to ScanHub as described below. Vave Health support can confirm the exact steps for your app version.
Bring it into ScanHub
Once your clips and stills are saved to your phone or computer and de-identified, add them to ScanHub one of two ways:
- ScanHub mobile app: open the app, go to My Scans, tap + Create Scan, choose Gallery / Photos (or ScanVault) as the source, select your exported files, choose the study type, add findings, then submit.
- ScanHub web portal: go to scanhub.upscan.com, open Scan Study → Create Scan, drag in your images (JPG/PNG/DICOM) and clips (MP4/DICOM), then complete the interpretation form and submit.
GUSI best practices
- Keep each clip 3–6 seconds for smoother playback and faster mentor review.
- Always export de-identified files (no patient name or details) before uploading.
- Upload a mix of stills and clips, and include the standard views for the scan type.
- Use Wi-Fi for larger cine loops; very large files may fail on cellular.
